Representation matters and, now more than ever, we at Latino Public Broadcasting are committed to providing a much-needed voice for the over 58 million Latinos in the U.S.
Television is our most important cultural medium and yet study after study concludes that Latinos are woefully underrepresented both in front of and behind the camera.
At LPB we empower Latino filmmakers to tell our unique Latino stories and bring them to millions of viewers on PBS and in community screenings across the country. This fall we presented 5 extraordinary films on LPB’s series VOCES. These documentaries illuminated the lives of extraordinary people – some famous and some unknown – who dared to speak out and make a difference.
There are so many more stories to tell and we need to ensure that our voices continue to be heard.
By supporting Latino Public Broadcasting, you are fighting back against those who would erase our contributions or paint us as the enemy.
Our tremendous contributions to this country must not be forgotten.
We’re here and we matter. Please stand with LPB and make your voice heard.
No contribution is too small, and every contribution makes a difference. Please donate now!
