Arturo R. Jiménez (Sangre Violenta, Sangre Violeta) is a Mexican filmmaker currently living in Austin, Texas. He co-directed, alongside Edna Diaz, the short documentary Sangre Violenta, Sangre Violeta. The film premiered at SXSW 2024 and won the Audience Award in the Texas Shorts category. He is one of the producers of the feature-length documentary Moving Together, which explores the creative process of dance and the intricate collaboration between dancers and musicians, and is available to stream on PBS.org.

Edna Diaz (Sangre Violenta, Sangre Violeta) is a Mexican-American producer who calls Texas home. She completed her bachelor’s in Radio, Television & Film at the University of North Texas and earned her master’s in advertising from the University of Texas at Austin. Diaz began her career developing stories for non-profit organizations and brands while contributing her time to serving abused and neglected children as a court-appointed advocate. More recently, she has shifted her focus to telling stories about women and underrepresented communities. Some of her casting credits include La Gloria, Marisol, and Mo (Netflix), stories that aim to reclaim the humanity behind the political abstractions surrounding immigration in the U.S.
