Karla Legaspy is a Two Spirit MeXICANA filmmaker raised in East Los Angeles. Her film career started with the Sundance selected film Pura Lengua, which followed with Karla acting, producing and now writing/directing her own content. She is a two-time awardee of the Latino Public Broadcasting Public Media Content Fund and a Co-producer of the AdeRisa Productions Awarded film’s “Amigas With Benefits” and “La Serenata”, now playing on HBO. Karla is proud of her many creative collaborations with artists, community and organizations. Her creative spectrum of work crosses borders, time and genres with themes on race, class, sexual orientation, trauma, artivism, ceremonial work and queer love.

Karla is known for her PBS audience award winning film “Gold Star” playing on PBS platforms. As a producer, Karla has been able to support numerous projects that bring forth the queer/trans brown experience. She is the producer of the acclaimed series “Undocumented Tales: Season 3” now playing on YouTube. Her latest LPB film “The Daily War” will broadcast this summer on the PBS Latino Experience. As an active member of the queer Latinx community she Co-founded and is programming director of The Latin@ Queer Arts and Film Festival/Cine Arte Film Festival. Karla envisions her work as the best tool for activism and her contribution to empowering her communities.

Adelina Anthony is a critically acclaimed Two-Spirit, Xicana, Lesbian artist, whose film works center characters/stories from LGBTQ+ Latinx, BIPOC and other marginalized communities. Along with Marisa Becerra she is the co-founder of the award-winning indie film company, AdeRisa Productions (www.aderisa.productions). Together they are developing a feature script, and as a company headed into it’s second decade of content creation, they are in the early stages of development with several feature film writers, including D’Lo, Shakina Nayfack, Sonja Perryman, Sheree L. Ross, and Ernesto Javier Martínez. Adelina’s award-winning short screenplays include You’re Dead to Me, Get the Life, Amigas with Benefits, Ode to Pablo and The Daily War (the majority of them winners of Latino Public Broadcasting’s Public Media Fund Award). She is also a fellow of the Sundance Intensive Writers program, Film Independent’s Project Involve, an Arts Matter Foundation fellow and a three time Imagen Award winner. In 2020 she was hired by Migrante Media to co-write and co-direct the Audible podcast series: Loops (starring Vivica A. Fox). As an actor, she was last seen on television in the recurring role of “Rocky” in Tanya Saracho’s Vida (STARZ). Marisa Becerra is a proud Mexican lesbian entrepreneur and businesswoman. She hails originally from Tepatitlan, Jalisco, México, and from a family of immigrant farm workers. From her humble roots, she eventually earned a full scholarship to attend a UC college of her choice.She received her degree in accounting and economics from UCSB. Her entire life has been dedicated to helping uplift her family, and her myriad communities. In 2012, she became the co-founder and managing member of AdeRisa Productions (www.aderisaproductions); an independent production company founded explicitly to create film works primarily centering Two Spirit/LGBTQ+ Ch/Xicana, Mexican and Latinx stories and characters. Since the company’s inception, Marisa has been the leading Executive Producer on all of their film projects: Forgiving Heart, The Good Kind, Bruising for Besos, Gold Star, Private Dick (Web Series), Amigas with Benefits, La Serenata, Ode to Pablo, Guarding Santos (which she penned) and Ro & Shirelle (in collaboration with D’Lo.)
