FREE SUNDANCE WORK-IN-PROGRESS SCREENING
On Wednesday, October 6th, 2010, at 7PM, the Sundance Institute Documentary Film Program and filmmakers Richard Ray Perez and Molly O’Brien are presenting a FREE work-in-progress screening of their film, CESAR’S LAST FAST at the Hammer Museum in Los Angeles. CESAR’S LAST FAST focuses on the private sacrifice behind Cesar E. Chavez’s struggle for the humane treatment of farm workers, and the impact Chavez’s inspirational legacy has on new generation activists, organizers and community leaders. The film includes never before seen footage and offers a unique and very personal view of Cesar Chavez’s faith and his activism, and has the support of the Chavez family.
Edward James Olmos, the LPB Board Chair and Academy Award nominated actor, will host a conversation with Cesar Chavez’s son, Paul Chavez, the filmmakers, and other special guests.
