chicago-tour-btbJoin PBS, POV, ITVS, WTTW, WNET, Independent Lens and the Indie Caucus in Chicago for the LAST stop on the National Listening Tour for Independent Films on PBS. This event will take place March 23rd, 2015 from 3 PM to 6 PM CDT at the Chicago Cultural Center. Please RSVP here.

In keeping with this commitment to independent filmmakers, PBS leadership is hosting a series of open forums around the country with independent filmmakers, PBS series producers, and other public media and community partners. At each event, participants are invited to voice their priorities and innovative ideas on how all can work together to strengthen distribution, viewership and community engagement through Independent Lens, POV and other independent films.

Independent storytelling by and about underrepresented voices in American Media is a core part of public television. Sharing diverse perspectives is not what sets public media apart, it is what PBS stations are mandated to do as part of their commitment to serve communities. Join us in securing a home for independent films and provide a voice to the diverse filmmaking community across the United States.
